International Student and Early Career Conference New Wave enters its second decade of existence and that brings a number of changes. The biggest one is definitely the venue where it will be held in 2019. After 10 successful years at The Geographical Institute, Faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague, New Wave is moving to Brno where it will be held at the Department of Geography of the Faculty of Science of Masaryk University. Two biggest geographical departments in Czech republic are thus combining its forces to organise an even better conference.
For 2019, New Wave will be organized in Brno between 12th and 13th September and its motto is “New thinking – New spaces – New wave”. This is to represent the latest trends in science, because numerous new approaches and topics are typical for current science. Just to mention a few – multidisciplinarity, interdisciplinarity or approaches combining knowledge from several fields of science are nowadays focal and New Wave isn’t an exception.
Therefore, organisers are welcoming contributions from various authors not only from geography but also from other sciences connected with space such as social studies or arts. If you are wondering what kind of contributions are welcomed, the range is wide – it could be papers, posters, maps or even some other more non-orthodox forms. The main goal of the conference is to share each other’s ideas and research and to make this possible everybody can enrol, New Wave is still free of charge.
So, enrol now! We are looking forward to seeing you in Brno.
